2013 What a Year! There were many changes to my business and photography in 2013. I decided to make a investment in my business and attend the Little Moon Photography workshop in Washington DC early in the year. This decision really changed my work for the better. The workshop was great! During the workshop I learned how to photograph newborns using studio light. This ensures proper skin tone and consistency every time. Although I was nervous to make the switch, I finally did a few months later. I also met some awesome, awesome ladies, from the workshop host to the ladies in my group. Two of which, I’m pretty sure will be life long friends.

Then a family decision was made to build a house where I would have a professional studio space. Prior to this I would either travel to client’s homes or have them come to my house. My studio opened on December 14th where I photographed my first newborn boy to get it going. It’s been so great having the studio set up for the newborns and families when they arrive. It makes the session efficient and I can get in more shots than I used to. This is a win, win!

Please help me celebrate the 31 newborns I photographed in 2013. It’s no secret that newborns are my favorite subject. I seriously get so excited each time I book a newborn and even more excited when I find out the baby has been born. The sessions are well planned out and handled with great care. I love meeting each and every newborn and cuddling with that baby while the parents sit back and enjoy. Each baby is so special to me!!
